High School Equivalency (HSE) Program
It's never too late to start again. LearningQuest provides free classes to prepare adult students for the five HiSET exams (math, science, social studies, reading, writing) required to obtain the High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma, commonly known as GED.
Daytime and evening classes are in session all year-round and orientations are held monthly.
Call 209-548-9266 or complete the inquiry form below immediately to save your seat.
(Seating is limited so ACT NOW!)
Spanish HSE Program
This program is for students whose first and/or preferred language is Spanish. All curriculum and learning are the same as what is provided in the English HSE program. Spanish HSE classes are held at three different locations in Modesto.
Morning and evening classes are available.
Students in the Spanish HSE program will access:
-
Classes and tutoring taught in Spanish
-
Learning materials written in Spanish
-
The HSE subject tests given in Spanish
Jail Education
When inmates buy phone cards, call "Collect," or purchase items from the commissary, the profit goes into a fund to benefit inmates called the Inmate Welfare Funds. These funds provide the educational program in the jail.
Whether they finish while serving their time or after being released, LearningQuest is there to get them the education they need to pass the High School Equivalency test. Inmates also receive Transition Services for success after release.
Inmates send a request form to the HSE instructor for assessment to enroll in literacy tutoring or the HSE program.
